Augmented Reality

“Augmented Reality” is the technique of using technology to mix digital objects into a view of the real world.

It is used in visitor centers to give travelers information about places they are visiting; it is used in museums to show 3D artefacts on top of special marker images; it is used in Pokémon Go to put Pokémon into the real world; and it will feature strongly in the upcoming Microsoft HoloLens.

In this course, we are going to look at how Augmented Reality works, and then we’re going to make our own Augmented Reality app, using Unity for the coding, and a tool named Vuforia for the AR processing.
