Coding for kids – make a game in Scratch (ages 7 – 12 years old)

picture of coding in ScratchThis is a 2 hour workshop for kids 7-12 years old who have never coded before but would love to take their first steps in learning by making a fun computer game.
We will start with some very simple coding activities, and then work up to a full game project together. By the end of the workshop, kids will have made their own game that they can play at home and share with their friends and family.

The kids will be coding in a tool named Scratch, which is one of the most popular visual coding tools in the world, and a great place to start learning.

The course will be held at the National Library of Australia.
